
Carey graduated from The University of Texas in Arlington with a bachelor’s degree in accounting as well as a Master of Science degree in accounting in 2001. Prior to joining the firm in 2005, she worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she was in the assurance and advisory services group and was responsible for performing audits of both public and private entities. Carey also has experience in investment accounting, having worked at the private investment company of a family of high-net-worth individuals. She received her CPA license in 2017. Carey became a partner with Waters Vollmering Beavers & Adams in 2019, where she manages a wide range of areas, including tax, auditing of nonpublic companies, governmental audits, and accounting services. She specializes in assisting clients with special accounting projects, getting their bookkeeping and accounting systems started, and developing good internal controls within their company.
