Gil Vollmering, CPA, has been a partner in the firm since 2000. Gil joined the firm in 1997 after 10 years of experience with the Internal Revenue Service, working as both a revenue agent auditing individual and business taxpayers and as an internal auditor reviewing IRS operations, processes, and computer systems. Gil manages a wide-ranging practice including tax, auditing, and accounting services. Gil’s clientele includes many high-net-worth individuals, small or closely held businesses, as well as W-2 wage earners and others who want their taxes prepared. Gil’s tax practice focuses on tax compliance and planning that takes advantage of his unique knowledge of how the IRS operates while successfully managing related tax risks like IRS audits. A well-prepared and documented tax return is the best “audit insurance” available. Gil’s comprehensive income, estate, and gift tax approach provides a one-stop answer to many tax issues that arise at different times in one’s life. Working closely with other client professionals, Gil provides tax and accounting solutions while maintaining a very real and personal touch. Always available, Gil stresses client conversation and works to assist clients in meeting their life goals. He sees accounting and taxes as a means to an end, not the end in and of itself. As such, his solutions are balanced and appropriate for each client’s needs. Gil is also responsible for the planning, directing, and reporting of audits in accordance with professional standards. Gil also performs peer reviews as part of the Texas Society of CPAs Peer Review Program. At the end of December 2024, Gil became the firm’s managing partner.
